  • I WANT XANGAING BACK. Dang fad blogging. I really think if we work together we can make this happen...
Or maybe not. *sigh* Is there anyone out there in xanga land anymore??

Oh the weather is beautiful. God is good. I may even take a walk. If I can avoid the campus. Why must I live so close to the college. I am surrounded by the swarms of college students :)

I cut my finger today, kinda looks like a paper cut. I don't know how. Also...I came home today with a smidgen of dried blood on my forehead. Weird. Don't remember banging my head on anything hard enough to bleed from.

Watched a bad movie last night. Kinda like Lord of the Rings with a 1/4 of the budget. That is what Aaron likened it too anyway. Okay, time to venture outside.

  • You know what? I am going to miss GW Bush. I mean, he is the Jack Bauer of Presidents. You know, he just ordered the Navy to shoot down a satellite. Sure it's ours, but he is preventing toxic fuel and a bus sized satellite from crashing to earth. I vote for 3 term presidents. I want GW back. It's just, it seems there are slim pickins when it comes to who to vote for for this presidential election. I mean, I certainly don't want to vote for McCain, eh maybe he would be okay. I just find it hard to vote for someone who cheated on his first wife. I guess it was a long time ago. Maybe he repented. Doubt it though. The there is Clinton. The other one. Oh gosh, we have to have another one? Minion of Satan, case closed. And then there is yet another democrat. Well he is the lesser evil among the choices. I want GW Back. I want a president who blows up satellites. I want bushisms. I'm not scared to say it.

Bats are horribly noisy creatures. I am sitting here, sipping on some hot tea, green and white, if you are wondering. So, anyway, I am trying to enjoy some tranquility here, and a bat invades my wall. Yes, it is inside that blasted wall screaching as if I will hear it's plea and rescue it. Devil creature. Sometimes the screach slows down to almost a chirping sound -- but I still want to kill it, just the same. I am praying for death by electrocution. There are some outlets in that wall, maybe it will chew on some wires, if God chooses to bless me in that way.

The rumor is true. I am an aunt. Sunshine and Scott are proud parents of a baby boy! Jude Anselm Piland, 8 lbs, 3 ozs ...and beautiful so I hear. Aaron, Dad and I are headed down there at 6:00am Friday. I can't wait! But...I have no choice.

Also, I have a new job. I don't start until Tuesday of next week. It's exciting, but I am nervous. *sigh* you just get comfortable co-running one business and then you get dropped into a new one. Don't get me wrong, I have no room to complain. The insurance is cheaper, and the pay increase is something I could not refuse. God is good, but I am a weinie. Oh, I am the new assistant manager at Goody's. I guess I left that information out. I am the assistant manager of K-town apparantly, I just hop from business to business.

This week...I am off. I cleaned today, and ran a bunch of errands. It doesn't really feel like I have a week off since this is my first day off in 8 days -- but maybe it will feel like that after two days off. I like my house better when it is clean.

I have on three pairs of socks, and the rest of my house isn't even that cold. I think I have some serious problems with my feet. That, and the floor in my kitchen is mysteriously cold. It radiates fridgedness. I could just lay all the food that is is my two half fridgerators (they almost make a whole fridge) on the floor, I am pretty sure they would still stay cold or maybe freeze if left there long enough. We could save some serious energy if we chose to refridgerate our food with that method -- but we wouldn't be able to walk in the kitchen. Always a down side to energy saving. Long story short, my feet would be a little warmer if I didn't spend so much time in the kitchen. I like to graze.

    Signing off,

    Lots of Happenings Since October

I don't know if I have the energy to write creatively at this point. I kinda just feel like brewing myself a nice strong cup of ethiopian coffee. And have a swiss cake roll. Well, another package of swiss cake rolls anyway. However, my husband will be home from work shortly, and he doesn't favor coffee breath. Go figure. That and I probably shouldn't down a pot of coffee before I go to bed. So here I am, back for a round of online journalizing.

Ho hum, things are chaotically sane right now. Aaron and I have been married 1 month (as of the 29th of January) go us! I love my husband! The wedding and honeymoon were amazing. I am afraid it would be hard to sum up on xanga one of the most awesome experiences of your life...so I don't think I will try. Suffice to say, the ceremony was beautiful, and I made Aaron stay an extra day in Hermann, MO because I loved it so much. http://www.hermannhill.com/conference-center.htm check out the amazingness of hermann hill cottages. I have some pics of the wedding and pre wedding on facebook, but I have a lot to go through.

Oddly enough, we refer to our home now as a cottage. It is a small house, but pretty cute if I do say so myself. I have had a lot of fun decorating and getting creative about space saving. One of my super creative methods is keeping most my clothes at Mom and Dad's. Aaron does a great job with helping me keep this tight space clear of debris.

Next week I should officially be an aunt. Sunshine (my eldest sister) and Scott (her hubby) are having their first. Pray for her and their baby, it's breached and they are doing a procedure next Tuesday to get it to switch directions. Aaron and I are planning on going down there next weekend. YES.

Next September I will be an aunt again! Bry (second oldest sister) and Matt (her hubby) are expecting their first. WOO HOO. I love babies.

Also, I am going to be a big sister again. YES. My parents are adopting! It is so exciting. They are looking to adopt a sibling group from ethiopia. There are two girls and a boy. Pray for their support raising and getting all their million pages of paper work done.

Me? I am learning how to be a wife. Trial and error. There is only so much counseling can prepare you for. I love being married though. God has blessed me above and beyond what I could have asked or imagined. I'm still plugging away at work, trying a lot harder not to spend all my money on clothes there. Sticking to a budget has proved to be challenging -- but it's good for me. We are getting a new district manager, I am pretty excited. I get to meet her February 13th.

Other than that it's getting to where we need to be, his classes, my work, his work, church, seeing friends, seeing family and trying to have a little time to ourselves. Chaotic sanity.
